Nestled in a rural part of South Warwickshire, sits a country pub and kitchen, The Red Lion Hunningham.

With local attractions including Warwick Castle, The Red Lion Hunningham offers an enviable location and even provides stunning views along the River Leam while overlooking the spectacular Warwickshire countryside.

We spoke to Richard P.G.A Merand, Managing Director and asked him his thoughts on some of the best features of The Red Lion Hunningham, he stated that “we have one of the nicest and biggest riverside beer gardens in South Warwickshire and we have been recognised as the second favourite beer garden in the UK, by the Daily Mail.”

After facing new challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Richard explained that “We have been badly affected by lockdowns and regulations. Due to our rural location, the takeaway offer could only be served to the locals due to the UK Governments rules being “stay at home”. This was a very hard time as we were achieving much success and I do believe this winter will be even harder as there has been no help really from the UK Government and with the threat of catching COVID-19.”

Determined to drive back its customers, The Red Lion Hunningham is pleased to once more be serving its guests, Richard added, “Use it or lose it. A pub cannot survive without its customers.”
